Need help with UMax Astra 600S scanner

The scanner is obsolete, but it still works. It’s a SCSI scanner, and the VistaScan drivers originally supplied don’t work under WinXP. I had a workaround when I installed it on my old machine, but that’s now dead, and the new one isn’t …
