LPT scanner does not work on Windows Vista 32-bit

disconnect and uninstall printer and printer driver before installing scanner > driver, but it has not helped. I Googled around for drivers for this scanner and find that 1) it is a very old scanner; 2) I don’t see Vista drivers for it …
